Iron phosphate, also known as high iron phosphate or iron orthophosphate, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula FePO4. It is a white or light red crystalline powder that is soluble in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, but insoluble in cold water and nitric acid. It is mainly used as a nutritional supplement (iron fortifier) in the food industry, especially for bread, and can also be used as a feed additive.
