Pneumatic conveying of quartz powder
Shandong Dongkai can provide turnkey projects such as process demonstration, design, equipment production, equipment installation, and system debugging for quartz powder pneumatic conveying systems based on the actual production and on-site layout of quartz powder materials.
Quartz powder, also known as silicon micro powder, is a silicate mineral powder made from natural quartz through sorting, crushing, water washing, acid leaching and purification processes. Its main component is silicon dioxide. The production process is divided into dry method and water method. Water method has higher purity due to more thorough removal of impurities by hydraulic precipitation. Classified by purity, it is divided into four categories: ordinary (90% -99%), refined (99% -99.5%), high-purity (>99.9%), and silicon micro powder, which are respectively used in building materials, glass products, electronic components, and copper-clad laminates.
Quartz powder (also known as silica micro powder) is a silicate mineral mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO ₂), and its physical and chemical properties are as follows:
physical property:
Appearance: Milky white or colorless semi transparent powder
Hardness: 7 (Mohs hardness), strong wear resistance
Density: 2.65 g/cm ³
Melting point: 1650-1700 ℃ (data from different sources may vary)
Solubility: Slightly soluble in KOH solution
chemical property:
Stability: Acid, alkali, and high temperature resistance, high chemical inertness
Insulation: high thermal resistance, suitable for electronic packaging materials
Safety: Slightly toxic, avoid long-term inhalation of dust
Subdivision specifications:
According to the fineness, it can be divided into different products such as nano silica and spherical silica micro powder, among which high-end electronic grade products have a purity of over 99.99%.
