1、 Structure of silo pump

The silo pump is mainly composed of the pump top silo, pump body, feed valve, discharge device, air inlet pipeline, automatic control system, exhaust valve, etc. The bin pump is divided into single bin pump and double bin pump. The single bin pump is of intermittent delivery. The double bin pump is composed of two sets of pump bodies, which work in turn to realize the continuous delivery of materials.


2、 Characteristics of silo pump

1. The silo pump has the characteristics of long conveying distance, flexible pipeline layout and saving equipment investment. It can be transported horizontally and vertically with a conveying distance of more than 1000 meters.

2. The delivery capacity of the silo pump is large, and the output per unit hour reaches more than 100 tons.

3. The control system has a high degree of automation, and can automatically carry out loading and conveying operations, which is easy to operate. It can automatically measure, count, display and alarm.

4. Air for control system and gasification of materials in pump top silo does not need to be provided with another air source, but is directly separated from the air inlet pipeline.

5. Good sealing, reliable operation, less vulnerable parts and convenient maintenance.


3、 Working process of bin pump

Taking the single bin pump as an example, the working process of the single bin pump is as follows:

1. Loading process: the feeding valve and exhaust valve on the top of the pump body are opened under the control of the PLC intelligent controller (the inlet valve of the main air inlet pipe is closed, and there is no compressed air in the pump body), and the material is fed from the intermediate bin to the pump body. At the same time, the pressure in the main air inlet pipe and pneumatic control pipe gradually increases with the air compressor. When the material is full, the level indicator sends a reversing signal or through the set time control, the PLC intelligent controller acts and turns to the conveying state.

2. Conveying process: the feed valve and exhaust valve on the top of the pump body are closed, the inlet valve on the main inlet pipe is opened, compressed air enters the pump body from the main inlet pipe, and feeding starts. When the feeding starts, compressed air suddenly enters the pump body, causing a sharp drop in the pressure in the main air inlet pipe and pneumatic control pipe. When the feeding is nearly completed, the pressure drops to the minimum, to the set pressure value of about 0.05Mpa, the pressure switch sends a reversing signal, and the PLC intelligent controller acts to turn into the loading state.

When one set of pump body is in the conveying state, the other set of pump body is in the charging or waiting state. When one set of pump body is completed, the other set of pump body is transferred to the conveying state, which can basically realize continuous conveying.


4、 Selection of silo pump

The working time of the bin pump is mainly divided into feeding time and conveying time. For a single bin pump, the feeding time is the waiting time of the pump, so the shorter the feeding time, the longer the conveying time; The shorter the feeding time and conveying time, the more times the pump conveys per hour, and the greater the conveying capacity per unit hour. For the double bin pump, the feeding time should be shorter than the conveying time during normal operation, so that when one pump is feeding, the other pump is in the conveying time, and the two pumps are transported alternately, saving part of the feeding time, so the output of the double bin pump is higher than that of the single bin pump.


5、 Requirements for use of bin pump

In order to give full play to the conveying capacity of the bin pump, attention should be paid to:

1. It is required that there should be at least a pump top silo with a volume slightly larger than the pump loading volume at the upper part of the feed valve, which can feed continuously. A vibrator or a material gasification device shall be added at the side of the lower part (cone) of the pump top bin to accelerate the discharge.

2. Appropriately increase the diameter of the feed valve, increase the material throughput, and shorten the feeding time.

3. The conveying time shall account for most of the working time of the bin pump. By promoting the gasification of materials inside the pump body and installing blowing AIDS in the pipeline, the time for conveying materials can be shortened.

4. Keep the pressure of the air supply system stable. The working pressure of the bin pump is generally about 0.3-0.5mpa. Keeping the pressure stable is beneficial to the acceleration of material conveying speed and the stability of conveying process. In order to ensure the stability of the pressure of the gas supply system, the pressure of the general air compressor should be 0.2~0.3MPa higher than the working pressure of the bin pump.
